THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RULE BOOK (J P van der Merwe) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) HAVE A GO JO (C Habib) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, RULE BOOK (J P van der Merwe), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, and HAVE A GO JO (C Habib) came together and bumped. b) Apprentice P Mxoli was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking ARLINGTON ACTION more than twelve times in the entire race. Apprentice P Mxoli signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R750.00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (14) and Apprentice P Mxoli's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline. c) LIGHT OF THE MOON (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B D Botes advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
