THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	ANATURA (*K A Brewer), BELLA ROSA (*P Mxoli) and PERFECTLY PUTT (R Danielson) were slow losing one length.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	GYPSY MAGIC (*S Sosibo) over-raced early and middle stages. 
b)	GLOBAL APPROACH (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 200m.	
c)	Apprentice J R Syster was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) 	in that he misused his crop by striking DARK TRAVEL more than twelve times in the entire race.  Apprentice J R Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1,000.00 was imposed. 
	When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (14) and Apprentice J R Syster's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline (2).  	
 d)	DUKE OF RAIN (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
