THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EKORIA (JP van der Merwe) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. b) FEELING FOXY (G Cheyne) was nervous in the stalls. c) TIPSY TINA (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly. d) FOREST SPY (W Kennedy) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KHAYA'S HOPE (R Munger) was hanging in from the 400m. b) Jockey JP van der Merwe (EKORIA) was shown the video footage of his ride in the concluding stages and advised against the practices of looking around in races and making unnecessary celebratory gestures. c) Jockey L Mxothwa reported TIPSY TINA changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of PIROSHKA (A Domeyer) (Betting 3/1 ; Distance 8.25) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) EKORIA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
