THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	LA LUVIA (K Matsunyane) was stubborn to load. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start, in a tightly bunched field, TWICETHEQUALITY (S Moodley) and KEEP ON DANCING (G Lerena) were momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the inside of PRINCESS ANASTASIA (C Habib) which rolled in. 
b)	Approaching the 1800m, KEEP ON DANCING (G Lerena) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of SHE'S A KEEPER (A Marcus) which rolled in marginally. 
c)	SHE'S A KEEPER (A Marcus) was hanging in between the 300m and the 150m.  
d)	In view of the performance of OPERA GLASS (S Khumalo) (9.65 lengths, 25/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
e)	Jockey A Arries signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction M, in that he mis-used his crop by striking the horse SCENTED MISTRESS more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (14) Jockey A Arries struck the horse SCENTED MISTRESS, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed.
f)	SHE'S A KEEPER (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gareth van Zyl advised (HM).
