THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POMODORO'S JET (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) INFINITE WONDER (K A Brewer) and CAPTAIN PEG (C Habib) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 150m, POMODORO'S JET (G Lerena) was brushed in by NIGHT BOMBER (R Munger), which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. b) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with IKIGAI in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse. c) POMODORO'S JET (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford advised (MduP).
