THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker) and VENTUROUS (*K Strydom) were stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) From a wide draw, FEARLESS KITTY (*D Geerthsen) raced to the front and thereafter over-raced in the middle stages. b) RAIN WEAR (K de Melo) was hanging in from the 800m, proving difficult to assist in the straight. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Leaving the 400m, DEMIGOD (W Kennedy) was steadied off the heels of MISS LIALAH (A Mgudlwa) which was hanging in, in the early part of straight and rolled in. d) Approaching the 200m, MEL'S PRINCESS (R Khathi) which was hanging in from the 300m, was carried out by VENTUROUS (*K Strydom) which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened. e) Jockey D Dillon reported that OWLETTE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performances of LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker) (14.00 lengths, 13/2 in the betting) and FEARLESS KITTY (*D Geerthsen) (17.60 lengths, 14/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) DEMIGOD (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G H van Zyl advised (DZ). h) RAIN WEAR (K de Melo), placed fifth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FEARLESS KITTY was ridden by Apprentice D Geerthsen (claiming 4kg) (advised 15.05.22/21h04). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
