a) Shortly before the finish, GOLIATH HERON (C Habib) was carried in and was subsequently steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of DANILO DANILOVITCH (S Khumalo) which was hanging out from the 200m and shifted in away from the crop from the 100m.
b) Jockey S Veale reported that PRINCEKRESH took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c) DANILO DANILOVITCH (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (DZ).
d) SPANISH BOY (W Kennedy), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee N Houdalakis acting on behalf of Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (NS).
