THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIS CHOICE (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 400m BARNEY MCGREW (D Ashby), which hung out between the 600m and the 300m, shifted out and carried RESONATE (A Domeyer) outwards. As a consequence, WORLDS YOUR OYSTER (G Cheyne), which was following, was directed inwards resulting in SANTA MARIA (K de Melo) being momentarily inconvenienced when close to the heels of ROCKIN' RINGO (K Steyn). b) SANTA MARIA (K de Melo) and ROCKIN' RINGO (K Steyn) brushed leaving the 200m. c) RESONATE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
