THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS ELEGANCE (K de Melo) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised (GT). b) ULULATE (M Yeni), ROUGE ALLURE (D Schwarz) and BELLE OF BELIZE (W Kennedy) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, MISS ELEGANCE (K de Melo) was carried out marginally by ETERNAL LIFE (*K A Brewer), which hung out from the 400m b) Jockey M Yeni reported that ULULATE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Race 6 contd. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MISS ELEGANCE, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 27 May 2022 to 2 June 2022. MISS ELEGANCE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised d) BALLROOM BLISS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B D Botes advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LADY AMHERST raced with cornell collar (declared 5 November 2019). b) LEE EXPRESS raced with a pressure halter (declared 19 May 2022 at 10H30). c) TERRA TIME raced with a compression mask (declared 19 May 2022 at 13H15). d) JUST FABULOUS raced equipped with cheek pieces (declared 19 May 2022 at 14H46) and without a compression mask (declared 19 May 2022 at 14H48).
