THE STARTER REPORTED:

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	POMP AND POWER (R Fourie) over-raced in the early and middle stages. 
b)	At approximately the 1800m, BEYONDTHEBOUNDARY (G Lerena) and SUPER EXCITED (J P v'd Merwe) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of RED SAXON (J Mariba) which shifted in. 
Jockey J Mariba signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of RED SAXON, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses BEYONDTHEBOUNDARY (G Lerena) and SUPER EXCITED (J P v'd Merwe) at approximately the 1800m. When assessing penalty, the Board considered the status of the race and accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 10 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised)      
c)	ARAGOSTA (K Matsunyane) was hanging in from the 300m. 
d)	SAFE PASSAGE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer M F de Kock       advised (NS).
