THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	THEWOLFOFWOLSELEY (J P van der Merwe) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	MO JIVE (D Schwarz), SIBERIAN FOX (*J Solomons) and ASHANTI SWORD (D De Gouveia) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, ASHANTI SWORD (D De Gouveia) was bumped by THEWOLFOFWOLSELEY 
(J P van der Merwe), which jumped outwards.
b)	SIBERIAN FOX (*J Solomons) was encouraged forward vigorously around the field in order to adopt front running tactics and as a consequence raced wide around the turn and into the straight.
c)	UNCLE TICKY BIRD (G Lerena) raced green.
d)	MO JIVE (D Schwarz) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages.	
e)	Shortly before the finish line, ACORN (*K A Brewer) and DESTINY OF SOULS (S Khumalo) came together and bumped.
f)	Jockey C Zackey reported that KITE SURFER choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
g)	In view of the performance of UNCLE TICKY BIRD (G Lerena), (distance 4,40 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 
h)	An inquiry will be opened into Jockey G Lerena's riding of UNCLE TICKY BIRD in the concluding stages of the race. 	
i)	ACORN (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

a)	SIBERIAN FOX was ridden by Apprentice J Solomons (declared 29 May 2022 at 08H52).

a)	ASHANTI SWORD raced without blinkers (declared 26 May 2022 at 10H28).			
b)	SIBERIAN FOX raced equipped with blinkers (declared 28 May 2022 at 08H47).
c)	CIJIMPI is a gelding (gelded 2 March 2022). Trainer P F Matchett will be charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within two (2) business days that CIJIMPI had been gelded.
