THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A FOREIGN AFFAIR (*KA Brewer) and MAKE IT HAPPEN (G Cheyne) were stubborn loading. b) SOCIAL SPIRIT (W Kennedy) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length. c) GAILIEA (C Habib) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being slow away, GAILIEA (C Habib) was encouraged forward and thereafter commenced to over race in the early stages. b) A FOREIGN AFFAIR (*KA Brewer) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 300m. c) Jockey G Cheyne did not persevere with his riding from the 300m and thereafter reported that he felt something amiss with MAKE IT HAPPEN. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey R Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on WONDER WOMAN, resulting in a change of rider. Jockey R Khathi signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. e) TRACY'S PRINCESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
