THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DALMENY FACTOR (A Fortune) was stubborn loading and had to be hooded.
b)	GREEN GARNET (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly, losing one length.
c)	HEAL AND SOUL (L Mxothwa) and IN THE BAG (A Arries) were slow into stride. 
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. 
b)	Leaving the 1200m CARE TAKER (K Steyn) and NOON DAY GUN (M Mjoka) were carried out wide by SAIL TO 	THE MOON (M Yeni), which was steadied off the heels of DALMENY FACTOR (A Fortune), brushed the inside 	running rail and then shifted out sharply.
c)	Between 300m and 100m HONOR OF KINGS (S Veale), which initially shifted inwards and GREEN GARNET (G 	Lerena), which showed a tendency to hang out, brushed on three occasions. 
d)	Shortly before the finish INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH (C Zackey) attempted to bite BOOGIEFIELD (AUS) (C Orffer). 	The racing manners of this colt will be brought to the attention of Trainer DM Kannemeyer.
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding DALMENY FACTOR (A Fortune), Trainer AE Sands will be 	advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
f)	BOOGIEFIELD (AUS), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer C Dixon, acting on behalf of Trainer WA Nel, was advised. (SC)
