THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FINAL HOPE (+S Siphika) shifted out sharply at approximately the 600m. b) BILINGUAL (+T Matsoele) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 500m. Thereafter, Work Rider T Matsoele briefly dropped his right-side rein at the 150m. c) ACT ON SNOW (+C Mabaya) hung out from the 400m. d) MISTY METAL (+P Mongqawa) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m, resulting in ENDIZAYO (+T Lukhele) being carried in in the concluding stages. e) Work Rider T Matsoele was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of BILINGUAL, misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (18) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Work Rider T Matsoele signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in six (6) Work Rider races. Suspension date: To be advised. f) MIST IN IRELAND (+S B Mthembu), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MS).
