THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GRAND CRESCENDO (A Fortune) hung in in the straight. Thereafter, Jockey A Fortune reported that he felt something amiss with GRAND CRESCENDO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer C Dawson was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of GRAND CRESCENDO on return to stables b) At approximately the 900m, BIOFARMER (M Yeni) had to ease to avoid the heels of GRAND CRESCENDO (A Fortune), which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey A Fortune was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of GRAND CRESCENDO, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BIOFARMER (M Yeni) when he shifted in at approximately the 900m. Jockey A Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven (7) days. Suspension dates: To be advised. c) BUFFALO STORM CODY (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) THE AFRICA HOUSE was ridden by Jockey K Matsunyane (declared 20 March 2025 at 10H19). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
