Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN IN SPRING (J Jacobs) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) STEPDANCE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 150m CHARLIE CROKER (A Domeyer) was brushed by RED IMPACT (L Mxothwa), which raced green, rolled in and was immediately straightened. Thereafter, approaching the 100m, A Domeyer (CHARLIE CROKER) hesitated with his riding when tightened for galloping room on the inside of RED IMPACT (L Mxothwa), which rolled in and had to be straightened again. b) Jockey C Zackey (STEPDANCE) was dislodged in the pull-up area, without incident. c) Trainer SJ Snaith was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within two (2) business days that STEPDANCE had been gelded. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer SJ Snaith was fined R 250,00. d) ICONIC DESTINATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
