THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, POLICY TARGET (K de Melo) spread his left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be re-fitted, causing a delay. b) Jockey A Domeyer (MILLAHUE) was stood down by the paramedics at the start, which necessitated a replacement rider having to be weighed out and sent to the start, causing a further lengthy delay. c) Approaching the 50m QUE SHIRAZ (R Fourie), which was hanging out, was momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of MILLAHUE (G Cheyne), which shifted in and was immediately straightened. d) MILLAHUE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) MILLAHUE raced without blinkers and with cheek pieces (declared 09h41 on 20220606) b) G Cheyne rode MILLAHUE (A Domeyer was stood down by the paramedics at the start.
