THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MEERCAT (T Gould) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty minute interval between races. b) PRETTY BETTY (L Mxothwa) was hanging in between the 400m and 250m. c) Leaving the 300m SANTA THERESE (G Cheyne) was carried out marginally by QUERARI FERRARI (*K Strydom), which was carried out by MEERCAT (T Gould), which shifted out away from PRINCESS KALISI (S Khathi), which was directed outwards. Jockey S Khathi (PRINCESS KALISI) appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. d) An investigation will be opened to establish why stall gate 12 was not used in this race. e) MUSICAL GLITCH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised.
