THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ETERNITY RING (S Khumalo) was slow into stride. b) MILL QUEEN (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, IRISH WONDER GIRL (N Klink) was steadied momentarily to avoid the heels of CARALLUMA (*J Solomons) which rolled in. b) MILL QUEEN (G Lerena) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) Jockey S Khumalo did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages and thereafter reported that ETERNITY RING choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that BEQUEST did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ANNE BOLEYN (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (AH). f) BEQUEST (M Yeni), was selected for the talking of specimens for analysis (MdP).
