THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, UMHLALI (*R Venniker) reared on two occasions which resulted in TELIO (S Khumalo) becoming restless and rushing the front gates. UMHLALI (*R Venniker) was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. TELIO (S Khumalo) was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon whilst inside the stalls and passed fit to race. b) QUEEN JACKSON (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and re-loaded. Trainer F Robinson will be advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BRIGHT STAR (R Khathi) raced wide around the turn. b) UMHLALI (*R Venniker) was hanging out from the 350, proving difficult to assist. c) Apprentice D Geerthsen (ENID'S GIRL) accidentally dropped his crop at the 250m. Thereafter, this filly commenced to hang out. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to UMHLALI (*R Venniker), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 14.06.22 to the 20.06.22. UMHLALI may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer J S Snaith will be advised. (SL) e) ENID'S GIRL (*D Geerthsen), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P V Lafferty advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) CAPTAIN MARVEL raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 03.06.22/8h05). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. SCRATCHINGS : a) SPRING FEVER : Sold without engagement (Trainer - 09.06.22/11h54). b) BEVIES DELIGHT : Insufficient recovery time (Trainer - 13.06.22/7h26). Rule 53.5 applies.
