Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	HEART PEAKS (C Maujean) sat on the back gate as the start was effected and, as a consequence, jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	CHERE FOR ME (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	TREASURE HUNT (E Webber) jumped outwards and was slow into stride.
d)	WALKONTHEWILDSIDE (R Fourie) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	LADY LUCK (Y Ramzan), SUCHALIFE (MK Katjedi) and FLOWER FESTIVAL (DB Geerthsen) suffered 	varying degrees of inconvenience when awkwardly placed on the inside of SUN SPECTACULAR (C Habib), 	which shifted inwards at approximately the 1100m. As a consequence, MEURSAULT (JP van der Merwe) had 	to be directed outwards and into clear running. Jockey C Habib (SUN SPECTACULAR) appeared before the 	Board and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when coming over towards the 	inside running rail on the bend.
b)	In view of the performance of MEURSAULT (JP van der Merwe), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to 	examine this filly.
	Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her 	return to the stables.
c)	An Inquiry will be held into the reason Jockey C Little was unable fulfil his riding engagement on TREASURE 	HUNT, which resulted in a change of Rider.
d)	WALKONTHEWILDSIDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC 	Greeff was advised. (LM)
