THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	Fair start. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Approaching the 250m, CIRO (A Arries) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of COZY DOT COM (*M Katjedi) which shifted out away from the crop. 
Apprentice M Katjedi signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of COZY DOT COM, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CIRO (A Arries) at approximately the 250m. Accordingly, a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised)
b)	Approaching the 150m, WHAT A BLAST (M Yeni) faltered and became severely unbalanced after clipping the heels of TRACK COMMANDER (K Matsunyane) which shifted out from the 200m. 
Jockey K Matsunyane signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of TRACK COMMANDER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to WHAT A BLAST (M Yeni) at approximately the 150m. Accordingly, a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised)
c)	Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that DOUBLE ESPRESSO did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.  
d)	Jockey M Mjoka signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he mis-used his crop by striking the horse PORFIRIO more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (18) Jockey M Mjoka struck the horse PORFIRIO, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1500 was imposed.
e)	FOREST JUMP (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer D W Moore advised (NS).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	COZY DOT COM raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 10.06.22/10h04).
