THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HATTON HALL (*D Geerthsen) stumbled badly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) IMITATION GAME (R Khathi) was hanging in from the 250m. Thereafter, this gelding shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. b) CAVALIERI (C Habib) was switched in to continue its run. c) DOUBLE MARTINI (K de Melo) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. d) Trainer G H van Zyl signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse GREY OCEAN. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. e) CAVALIERI (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal advised (HM).
