THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MONTBLEU (F Herholdt) was slow losing two lengths. b) SONG TO THE SUN (C Zackey) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, THE INKOSANA (J P van der Merwe) was bumped by SONG TO THE SUN (C Zackey) which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) BALLISTA (J Greyling) over-raced in the early stages. c) THE INKOSANA (J P van der Merwe) proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages and as a consequence raced awkwardly around the turn. d) Jockey C Habib reported that ATLANTIC CITY changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that SONG TO THE SUN took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) GOOD COUNCIL (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (RS).
