THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The saddle on WHOA WHOA WHOA (AUS) (G Cheyne), which proved difficult to settle, slipped forward in the early stages. This was confirmed by the veterinary surgeon. b) GOING UP (K de Melo) and MAJOR ATTRACTION (R Fourie) brushed at the 250m. c) In view of the performance of KITTY KAT CHAT (AUS) (L Mxothwa) (Betting 17/2 ; Distance 9.40) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly d) GOING UP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
