Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	BOLD FORTUNE (R Danielson) and GAINSFORD (R Fourie) lost one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At approximately the 350m, GAINSFORD (R Fourie) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the inside of BOLD FORTUNE (R Danielson) which shifted in and was straightened. Jockey R Danielson appeared before the Board with regard to this incident, was shown the patrol films of the Race and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future.
b)	From the 300m, SHANGO (G Lerena) was carried in by CHOLLIMA (M Yeni) which was hanging in. Thereafter, shortly before the finish, these two horses came together and bumped.
c)	Shortly before the finish, Jockey B Fayd'Herbe (CROWN TOWERS) (AUS) briefly dropped his right-side rein.
d)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report regarding GAINSFORD, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer V H Marshall was advised. (Suspension Dates : 03 July 22 - 31 August 22)
e)	At the 300m, SUPER SILVANO (L Mxothwa), CROWN TOWERS (AUS) (B Fayde'Herbe) and CHOLLIMA (M Yeni) were carried and bumped inwards by ONE WAY TRAFFIC (G van Niekerk) which shifted in. Jockey G van Niekerk signed an admission of guilt for the contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of ONEWAY TRAFFIC he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses SUPER SILVANO (L Mxothwa), CROWN TOWERS (AUS) (B Fayde'Herbe) and CHOLLIMA (M Yeni) at the 300m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised).
f)	ONE WAY TRAFFIC (G van Niekerk), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Snaith advised (RVR).
g)	SUPER SILVANO (L Mxothwa), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford advised (RVR).
