THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1400m, MARINA (K de Melo) was carried wide by SWEET FUTURE (P Strydom) which shifted out off the heels of CAPTAIN'S RANSOM (R Fourie). b) In view of the performance of SWEET FUTURE (P Strydom), (8.20 lengths, betting 50/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that OSCAR'S WINNER made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SHE'S A KEEPER (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
