THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PORQUE TE VAS (K de Melo) and CHARLIE MALONE (C Bantam) were restless in the stalls. b) PALO QUEEN (D Ashby) was restless in the stalls, jumped slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. c) NIGHT TIGER (L Tarentaal) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m PRIMULA (K Steyn) shifted in away from the crop and had to be straightened. b) LE MANS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
