THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Approaching the 1600m, A WHOLE NEW WORLD (J Gates) was momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of WEDDING BLISS (*S Hlengwa) which was carried in marginally by LIVING WATERS (C Habib) which rolled in. 
b)	Jockey C Habib signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with guideline M, in that he misused his crop by striking the horse LIVING WATERS more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey C Habib struck the horse LIVING WATERS, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R750 was imposed.
c)	CATCH THE TUNE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer F Robinson advised (DZ).
