THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FREESTATE STAR (*D Geerthsen) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, COOL RUNNINGS (A Mgudlwa) and FREESTATE STAR (*D Geerthsen) were carried out by BUSH TRACKER (*M Zuma) which jumped out. b) Trainer P Matchett signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse ZUZAN. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R250 was imposed. c) GIMME A PRINCE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) BUSH TRACKER raced with ear muffs (advised 05.07.22/10h44).
