THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KIT KAT KATIE (C Zackey), SPIRIT PRINCESS (B Nyawo) and SUMMER OF DREAMS (D Schwarz) were slow losing one lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Race Course Manager was interviewed regarding the track issue at the 600m, he undertook to monitor the area in question throughout the day and further gave the assurance that these corrective measures would be made timeously in advance of the commencement of the race meeting when possible, going forward. b) Jockey C Zackey (KIT KAT KATIE) and Jockey W Kennedy (SILVER MENSA) reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. c) LADY OF POWER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SILVER MENSA raced with a tongue tie on (declared 7 July 2022 at 07H37). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) KIT KAT KATIE examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) SILVER MENSA examined post race, nothing obvious detected. c) WILKIES not striding out right front, right hind and in season.
