THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FORBIDDEN BEAST (T Gould) and THEN IN FOCUS (W Kennedy) were stubborn loading. b) ADMIRALS CHANCE (G Cheyne) was nervous in the stalls. c) NEW PERSPECTIVE (*S Hlengwa) and RAY FLAMBE (S Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ADMIRALS CHANCE (G Cheyne) was hanging in from the 300m. b) In view of the performance of BEGONIA (F Herholdt), which was not persevered with from the 150m, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) THEN IN FOCUS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (SP) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) BEGONIA raced with a compression mask (declared 06h48 on 20220708) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) BEGONIA - examined post-race.
