THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	RESPECTABLE MISS (T Gould), CALANDRA (R Khathi) and GOLIGHTLY (G Cheyne) were slow into stride.
b)	VISION ON ICE (W Kennedy) jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	From a wide draw GOLIGHTLY (G Cheyne) was unable to get cover and, as a consequence, proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
b)	Leaving the 50m COLORADO SPRINGS (R Fourie) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between WINGS OF FIRE (M Mjoka) and RATTLE MOUSE (JP van der Merwe), which was hanging in, proved difficult to assist and rolled in. Thereafter, Jockey R Fourie was unable to ride COLORADO SPRINGS to the finish when close to the heels of RATTLE MOUSE (JP van der Merwe).
c)	RATTLE MOUSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (SP)
