THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHEROKEE TRAIL (J P v'd Merwe) and FLEET COMMANDER (K de Melo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) WITHOUT QUESTION (R Fourie) raced green when encouraged in the final straight. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that FLEET COMMANDER continually changed strides in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse WICCAN WARRIOR. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. d) WICCAN WARRIOR (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) POLITICAL PARTY was ridden by Apprentice R Venniker (advised 10.07.22/8h55). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) BRAINWAVE is a gelding. Gelded 01.02.2022.
