THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RISHAAN'S BOY (+T Mayhew) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FLAG BEARER (+J Gwingwizha) over-raced in the early stages. b) After being slow away, RISHAAN'S BOY (+T Mayhew) was encouraged forward to regain contact with the rest of the field. Thereafter, RISHAAN'S BOY (+T Mayhew) commenced to over-race. This resulted in the saddle slipping forward and as consequence, the lead bag was dislodged from the saddle at the 1000m. Work Rider T Mayhew's equipment was checked by a member of the Stipendiary Board and found to be in good working order. The Clerk of Scales lodged an objection against RISHAAN'S BOY in terms of Rule 68.2.11 in that Work Rider T Mayhew weighed in 2,3kg under the weight at which he was declared out at. After giving regard to the evidence, the objection was upheld and in terms of Rule 69.7, RISHAAN'S BOY was disqualified. c) SAN QUINTIN (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (RS). WORK RIDER CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) RISHAAN'S BOY raced unshod (declared 12 July 2022 at 07H50).
