THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LA BANQUIERE (M Yeni) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. b) MONTANA NYMPH (W Kennedy) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) THREE BELLS (*S Sosibo), CHE BALLERINA (J P van der Merwe), IDABELLE (C Zackey) and SCABIOSA (M van Rensburg) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PONDEROSA PINE (K de Melo) hung in from the 400m. b) MISS SOHO (R Munger) hung out in the concluding stages. c) In view of the performance of LA BANQUIERE (M Yeni), (distance 11,00 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) VIVACIOUS SPIRIT (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
