THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLOOMINGTON (S Khumalo) stumbled badly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, BLOOMINGTON stumbled badly dislodging Jockey S Khumalo. b) Jockey W Kennedy signed an admission of guilt and was fined R750.00 for a contravention of Rule 62.2.10 in that, whilst riding the horse VANDERBILT, he saluted in a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line. c) VANDERBILT (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, was advised (RS). d) ROCK OF AFRICA (C Zackey), placed fifth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
