THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVAN PARK (R Munger) refused to load, withdrawn at the start, causing a delay. b) GLOBAL BEAT (G Cheyne) and WINTER'S JOIE (A Domeyer) were stubborn loading. c) MACTAVISH (W Kennedy) jumped slow, losing two lengths. d) KING OF LUV (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL GUNNER (JP van der Merwe) had to be steadied and brushed the hindquarter of GLOBAL BEAT (G Cheyne) when tightened for galloping room between GLOBAL BEAT (G Cheyne) and WINTER'S JOIE (A Domeyer). b) Jockey L Mxothwa, the rider of MUSIC BOX SPECIAL, which shifted both ways away from the crop between the 400m and the 200m, appeared before the Board and was spoken to regarding the manner in which he used his crop. c) Jockey S Khathi reported that CHASING CHEETAHS did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Race 4 contd. d) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that GLOBAL GUNNER did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) In view of the performance of WINTER'S JOIE (A Domeyer) (Betting 5/2 ; Distance 5.30) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GLOBAL BEAT (G Cheyne), Trainer AC Greeff will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) In view of the report from the starter regarding SILVAN PARK (R Munger), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 16/07/2022 to 22/07/2022 inclusive).
