THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MABONENG (*C Dicken) and CONSOL QUEEN (*R Venniker) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) RASPBERRY BERET (T Godden) over-raced in the middle stages. c) In the concluding stages, ISLA MORADA (R Fourie) was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of RASPEBERRY BERET (T Godden) which shifted out away from the crop from the 150m. d) In view of the performance of CONSOL QUEEN (*R Venniker) (7.55 lengths, 5/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) RASPBERRY BERET (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
