Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BULLITT (G Cheyne) and MAX THE OTTER (A Domeyer) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, KING MO (O Noach) cast its right front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) At the 500m BULLITT (G Cheyne) was carried out by MAX THE OTTER (A Domeyer), which raced green and shifted out sharply. c) At the 400m TOUGH TERRAIN (R Fourie) had to steady when tightened for galloping room between BOISTEROUS BUDDY (L Mxothwa) and CAPTAIN MORNE (C Zackey). d) Leaving the 250m CAPTAIN MORNE (C Zackey) was steadied and then had to be eased off the heels of BOISTEROUS BUDDY (L Mxothwa) when carried out by GIMME MORE TIME (D Ashby), which shifted out away from NOT IN DOUBT (J Jacobs), which was hanging out. e) BULLITT (G Cheyne) and MAX THE OTTER (A Domeyer) brushed at the finish. f) KING MO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Alsop, acting on behalf of Trainer VH Marshall, was advised.
