THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RARE FLAG (R Fourie) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 700m, GODFATHER (J P v'd Merwe) was tightened and thereafter steadied momentarily off the heels of SLEEK AS SILK (M Yeni) which rolled in. Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear before allowing his mounts to shift ground in races in future. b) LET'S GET TOGETHER (*R Venniker) was hanging out from the 350m and thereafter this gelding jumped a shadow cast by the grandstand shortly before the finish-line. c) In the concluding stages, GODFATHER (J P v'd Merwe) was tightened between SAKA GOLD (*K Strydom) and CORSICAN (A Mgudlwa) which rolled in. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that HUNTERS ARROW choked up in the pull-up area. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) LET'S GET TOGETHER (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M L Roberts advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) HUNTERS ARROW raced with a compression mask. b) SLEEK AS SILK raced with cheek pieces (advised 25.07.22/7h01). c) CAPE PRINCESS raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 20.07.22/14h06).
