THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EURYDICE (+S Mosia) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected and again at the 1800m, SONG OF ANGELS (+T Lukhele) and TREATY (+D Cooper) came together and brushed. b) SONG OF ANGELS (+T Lukhele) over-raced in the early stages. c) SKYFULL (+T Ncume) hung out from the 200m. d) When offered an opportunity to place on record any factors which may have accounted for the poor run of COLOUR CODED, Workrider J Gwingwizha explained to the Board that this filly had jumped well and had travelled well in the early and middles stages, and then upon entering the straight, and when asking her for an effort, she had failed to respond to his urgings and commenced to give ground to the field. In view of this filly's performance, the veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine COLOUR CODED. e) SONG OF ANGELS (+T Lukhele), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Borman advised (LN). WORKRIDER CHANGES: None.
