THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HARPER'S WAY (C Habib) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TANA MAREE (R Munger) hung in from the 500m. b) In view of the performance of POTATO SALAD (M K Katjedi), (distance 14,00 lengths, betting 66/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with LIKE A PRAYER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning CAPE FLOWER, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer C I Jonker was advised. e) TANA MAREE (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
