THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STRANGE MAGIC (*J Solomons) was stubborn loading and thereafter reared in the stalls. Assistant Trainer T Dawson, acting on behalf of Trainer C Dawson, was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (LS). b) KISS ME CAPTAIN (D De Gouveia) and OUTLAW (R Munger) were stubborn loading. c) LOCHRANZA (M Yeni) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow losing one length. d) UNAPOLOGETIC (K Matsunyane) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SCABIOSA (M van Rensburg) raced green. b) In the concluding stages, GREEN BUBBLES (*P Mxoli) had its hindquarters turned outwards when bumped by SCABIOSA (M van Rensburg), which shied outwards away from STRANGE MAGIC (*J Solomons), which commenced to hang out. c) In view of the performance of TSITSIKAMMA PEARL (G Lerena), (distance 9,25 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey R Munger reported that OUTLAW made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
