THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	ELECTRIC SURGE (A Arries) was stubborn to load. Trainer R Hill was advised to re-school this mare.
b)	MARINA (A Domeyer) lost one length.  
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	LYRICAL DANCE (T Gumede) raced with an awkward head carriage throughout. 
b)	ELECTRIC SURGE (A Arries) was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. 
c)	At the 250m, SILVER MARIA (K de Melo) and FOLLOW THE STAR (R Fourie) brushed and thereafter FOLLOW THE STAR (R Fourie) had to steady momentarily to avoid the heels of MARINA (A Domeyer) which closed the race off strongly and shifted in when just not clear. Jockey A Domeyer appeared before the Board and was advised to provide sufficient clearance to other runners when shifting ground. 
d)	SPRINKLES (W Kennedy) was hanging out badly from the 350m.  
e)	On the latter part of the turn, KEEP ON DANCING (G Lerena) was carried wide by MARINA (A Domeyer) which shifted out and was allowed to improve its position. 
f)	MARINA (A Domeyer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson advised (RVR).
g)	FOLLOW THE STAR (R Fourie), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G S Kotzen advised (SM).

a)	VICTORIA PAIGE raced with cheek pieces and without ear muffs (advised 28.07.22/10h58). 
b)	ELECTRIC SURGE raced with a tongue tie (advised 26.07.22/9h19).
