THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FUTURE SWING (A Domeyer) and TUSCAN GOLD (JP van der Merwe) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start THAT'S RIGHT (D Ashby) was bumped inwards by WHAT A THIEF (G Behr), which was hanging in and shifted in. In this incident, both horses became unbalanced for a number of strides. b) RELEASE ME (C Bantam), which raced green, shifted out in the concluding stages. c) FUTURE SWING (A Domeyer) raced green. d) In view of the performance of THAT'S RIGHT (D Ashby), which tired quickly in the latter stages, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding FUTURE SWING (A Domeyer), Trainer SJ Snaith will be advised to have this colt re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TUSCAN GOLD (JP van der Merwe), Trainer AE Sands will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) CASTLE TIME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
