Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	JUST POWER (C Bantam) was fractious in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing one length.
b)	PANZANELLA (J Jacobs) jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start JUST POWER (C Bantam) was awkwardly placed on the outside of REWRITE THE STARS (L Tarentaal), which was carried out by LOVE IS A ROSE (JP van der Merwe).
b)	At the 800m LOVE IS A ROSE (JP van der Merwe) brushed the hindquarter of ZIPPY OVER (A Domeyer) when receiving some pressure from ZIPPY OVER (A Domeyer), which was attempting to secure a position closer to the inside running rail. Jockey A Domeyer appeared before the Board and was advised to give more room to runners on his inside in similar circumstances.
c)	ENCHANTED CREEK (O Noach) shifted out away from the crop approaching the 50m and had to be straightened.
d)	Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with ALFRED'S GIRL, which tired quickly in the latter stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. 
e)	In view of the report from the starter regarding JUST POWER (C Bantam), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 03/08/2022 to 09/08/2022 inclusive). JUST POWER may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f)	ZIPPY OVER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
g)	ENCHANTED CREEK, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AD Steyn was advised. (RS)
