THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STREET ART (T Godden) lost one length. b) SET TO SHINE (J P v'd Merwe) lost two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, STREET ART (T Godden) which was slow into stride and CYCLONE ROY (*K Strydom) bumped. As a result, STREET ART (T Godden) was squeezed out. b) HOLLYWOOD STAR (J Gates) raced wide in the early stages. c) PARMENION (R Khathi) was hanging in from the 400m. d) At the 300m, STREET ART (T Godden) was switched out abruptly, off the heels of CYCLONE ROY (*K Strydom), which had come to the end of its run and rolled in. e) FLEET COMMANDER (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in from the 300m. f) PARMENION (R Khathi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
