THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DOG DETACHMENT (J Mphanya) was stubborn loading and restless in the stalls.
b)	ABSOLU NOIR (P Strydom) and SURYAVARMAN (L Mxothwa) were examined at the start by the course veterinary surgeon and passed suitable to race, causing a delay.
c)	GOOM GOOM (*RA Venniker) was injured in the stalls, taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, causing a further delay.
d)	V V Power (*KA Brewer) was nervous in the stalls.
e)	LITTLE SUNNY (S Khumalo) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
f)	CLIFFS OF DOVER (Y Ramzan), STEPDANCE (K Minnie) and DANI BOI (E Webber) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	GLOBAL MARK (X Ndlovu) was hanging in from the 300m.
b)	Approaching the 200m SURYAVARMAN (L Mxothwa) shifted in sharply away from the crop and was immediately straightened.
