THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE KOP (*R A Venniker) and FLYING FIRST CLASS (C Habib) kicked the back gates of their respective starting stalls. Stable Employee T Nako (THE KOP) and Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen (FLYING FIRST CLASS) were advised to reschool these horses prior to their next engagements (GT). b) RAISEAHALLELUJAH (K Matsunyane) reared in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 350m, Apprentice R A Venniker the rider of THE KOP had to regather her reins. b) In view of the performance of THE KOP (*R A Venniker), (betting 25/2, distance 7,75 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) RAISEAHALLELUJAH (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
